Mini Bio.

DSC_0068 2

I am a jewelry designer and painter residing in New England. An alum of Pratt Institute of Art in New York City with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts and Minor in Art History. My love of collecting rocks and gems inspires the abstract qualities of my personal paintings. My organically focused metalwork and jewelry conjures mini scapes that are based in mythology and different cultural narratives.

I am a one woman show. Every piece starts out as sheet metal, every parcel bare without decoration. The majority of my jewelry stems from initially having a rock as inspiration for a certain design. Aside from my vast and ever expanding rock collection, I like to collect four leaf clovers, feathers, rare books (the more illustrations the better!), old prose or poetry books, music boxes, and sweetgrass strands. I love all things landscape or abstract oil painting, etchings, old woodcuts, leather work….anything hand crafted really. I will listen to any kind of music, but will always be in love with Paganini, Opeth, all things strange (Kronos Quartet, Humanwine), all things sweet (Mumford & Sons, Of Monsters and Men), all things dirty country like (Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs, Carolina Chocolate Drops), and anything Delta Blues (Howlin’ Wolf and Blind Willie Johnson especially).

  2. Great selection of turquoise!

I’m also “addicted” to the blue. I guess my business isn’t helping as I buy (& sell) turquoise for a private group as a way to diversify our investments.

…been at this for about 25 years so it’s nice to see the younger generation appreciates the beauty, rarity, and value of turquoise.

…into the blue – my friend!
